Albania's most beloved street food — layers of flaky filo pastry filled with spinach and feta (byrek me spinaq), minced meat, or soft white cheese. Sold freshly baked from bakeries (furra) across every Albanian town, it is eaten for breakfast, as a snack, or a light lunch. The Tirana central market bakeries are the best places to try it.
