One of Europe’s largest and most iconic music festivals, held every late June–early July near Roskilde. Founded in 1971 and entirely non-profit, Roskilde draws 130,000 attendees across eight days to hear 175+ acts on eight stages spanning rock, pop, hip-hop, electronic, jazz, and world music. Past headliners include Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Beyoncé, and Radiohead. The festival is run by 30,000 volunteers and donates all profits to charitable causes.
