Estonia has a thriving craft beer scene built on a foundation of two beloved national lager brands — Saku (founded 1820) and A. Le Coq (founded 1807, now based in Tartu). Both are crisp, well-made Baltic lagers and institution-level drinks. Beyond the mainstream, Tallinn and Tartu host a growing number of craft breweries experimenting with local ingredients — juniper, black bread, bog myrtle, and Estonian hops. The Tallinn beer scene, centred around the Creative City district, is one of the Baltic region's best.
