Kama (Traditional Grain Flour)

About

One of Estonia's most ancient and unique foods — a powdery flour made from roasted and ground rye, wheat, barley, and pea, traditionally eaten mixed with kefir or buttermilk and sugar to make a thick porridge-like snack called kamakohuke. Kama has been eaten in Estonia for at least 2,000 years and remains a daily part of modern Estonian life. It is now finding a new audience as a health food rich in fibre, protein, and a distinctly toasty, nutty flavour.
