Estonia's most beloved everyday snack — a small bar of sweet sweetened curd (quark) coated in a thin layer of dark chocolate, vanilla, or caramel glaze. Kohuke comes in dozens of flavours and sizes and has been an Estonian staple since Soviet times. Eaten cold straight from the fridge, they are sold at every kiosk, supermarket, and petrol station. Visitors almost universally become addicted — they're light, sweet, and unlike anything found elsewhere in Europe.
