Italy is one of the world's top truffle producers. Black truffles from Norcia (Umbria) and white truffles from Alba (Piedmont) are shaved over pasta, risotto, and eggs. The Alba White Truffle Fair (October–November) is a world-famous food event. Truffle hunting experiences are available across both regions.
