Hiroshima A-Bomb Dome

The skeletal ruins of the Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall — one of the only structures to survive near the atomic bomb’s hypocenter on August 6, 1945. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996 as a permanent symbol of the determination for world peace.
