Itsukushima Shrine

A UNESCO-listed Shinto shrine complex built over the sea on sacred Miyajima Island. The iconic red torii gate appears to float at high tide. One of Japan’s three most celebrated scenic views, reached by ferry from Hiroshima in 30 minutes.
