Mevlana Festival (Whirling Dervishes), Konya

A UNESCO-recognized Sufi tradition and one of Turkey's most spiritually significant cultural events, held each December in Konya to commemorate the poet and mystic Rumi. Dervishes perform the mesmerizing Sema whirling ceremony in his memory.
