Escudella de Sant Antoni (January Festival)

Celebrated on January 17 across Andorra's parishes in honour of Sant Antoni (patron saint of animals), this midwinter festival features the blessing of animals, traditional Andorran folk music, and communal servings of escudella — a hearty Catalan winter stew of meat, pasta, and vegetables. Village squares fill with locals sharing the dish and welcoming the year's first major celebration.
