Festa de Meritxell (Our Lady of Meritxell Day)

Andorra's national day, celebrated on September 8 in honour of the country's patron saint, Our Lady of Meritxell. Pilgrims and locals travel to the Sanctuary of Meritxell in Canillo for religious ceremonies, followed by traditional music, sardana dancing, folk performances, and fireworks throughout the country. The most important cultural event in the Andorran calendar.
