The largest book fair in the Spanish-speaking world and one of the most important literary events globally, held every April–May at the La Rural Exhibition Centre in Buenos Aires. Over 1.2 million visitors attend across three weeks to browse hundreds of publishers, attend readings and lectures by international and Argentine authors, and celebrate Argentina's profound literary culture — the country of Borges, Cortázar, Puig, and Saer. The fair is as much a cultural festival as a commercial event.
