Argentina's most spectacular regional festival, held annually in early March in Mendoza to celebrate the grape harvest. The centrepiece is the Acto Central — a massive open-air theatrical production staged at the Frank Romero Day Amphitheatre, with hundreds of performers, elaborate floats, fireworks, and the crowning of the Vendimia queen. The festival spans a full week of wine tastings, vineyard visits, parades through downtown Mendoza, and the famous Vía Blanca candlelit procession.
