Held annually in June, the Aruba Catamaran Regatta brings international sailing teams to race traditional Aruban fishing catamarans (boats used for centuries by island fishermen) in the waters off Palm Beach. The race celebrates Aruba’s maritime heritage and the extraordinary skill of Aruban catamaran sailors, who race these unstable, high-speed craft at remarkable speeds. An exciting spectator sport best viewed from the beach or from a chartered boat following the race course.
