Zagreb and the Zagorje region’s most beloved comfort food — thin dough sheets filled with fresh cottage cheese, egg, and sour cream, then either baked or boiled. Baked štrukli emerge golden and crispy on top with a creamy filling; boiled štrukli are softer and served with sour cream. A Croatian intangible cultural heritage, best enjoyed in a Zagreb kafic (café) on a cold morning.
