Held every January, Lux Helsinki transforms the city's darkest month into a gallery of outdoor light art. International and Finnish artists illuminate Helsinki's historic buildings, parks, and squares with large-scale projections, interactive light installations, and illuminated sculptures. Free to attend and spread across the city centre over five nights, Lux draws 200,000+ visitors and proves that Finnish winter darkness can be one of the country's greatest creative canvases.
