Finland's most treasured spirit — a golden liqueur made from cloudberries (lakka) harvested in Lapland bogs each August. Sweet, fruity, and warmly aromatic, lakkalikööri is sipped after dinner or poured over vanilla ice cream. Because cloudberries are rare, hand-picked, and grow only in Arctic conditions, cloudberry liqueur is expensive and treated as a luxury gift. Arctos and Lignell & Piispanen are the best-known producers. A bottle makes the perfect Finnish souvenir.
