Chernobyl Exclusion Zone

The restricted area surrounding the site of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster, one of the most significant events in 20th-century industrial history. Organized visitor tours, which operated before 2022, have been suspended during the current conflict; the zone remains under Ukrainian state administration and is not currently accessible to tourists.
