Solo women should expect frequent unwanted attention and are advised to dress conservatively and avoid walking alone late at night. Most nationalities, including the US, UK, EU, Canada, and Australia, can buy a visa on arrival (around $25 USD, cash only) at Cairo, Luxor, Hurghada, or Sharm El-Sheikh airports, or apply online in advance through Egypt's official e-Visa portal. Travelers flying only into Sharm El-Sheikh, Dahab, or Taba and staying within Sinai can get a free entry stamp for up to 15 days.
